Aerodynamics Laboratory - Wind Tunnel “Miroslav Nenadović”

Within the Aerodynamics Laboratory, a large number of projects has been carried out. We mention just a few:

  • Avala TV tower

    Determination of aerodynamic characteristics and load distribution under different wind speeds.
  • Tomos GP motorcycle

    Experimental investigation including both the motorcycle with and without the driver (Zdravko Matulja, the European champion in 1980).
  • Modified airfoil GAW

    Determination of aerodynamic characteristics.
  • “Mala rijeka” bridge

    Experimental investigation of the “Mala rijeka” bridge in the Morača river canyon on the railroad Belgrade-Bar.
  • Experimental investigation of cooling towers

    Thermal Power Plant Kolubara B cooling towers testing. Determination of pressure distribution. Wind rose definition.
  • Agricultural aircraft MOMA 86

    Determination of aerodynamic characteristics.
  • Investigation of the wind effects on composite material optoelectronic system

    Experimental investigation focused on the forces acting on the connection elements of the optoelectronic system with a support, at wind speeds up to 37.5 m/s, as well as the pressure distributions along the protective lids covering the system.
  • Investigation of the wind turbine (diameter 1.2 m) prototype

    Determination of the relation between the rotor angular speed and undisturbed wind velocity at wind speeds up to 25 m/s for a horizontal-axis wind turbine (HAWT).
  • Investigation of a silent vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT)

    Determination of aerodynamic characteristics.
  • Determination of aircraft aerodynamic characteristics using force balance method

    Investigation was performed on an aircraft model designed by the students from the student association “Beoavia” for an international competition.
